The 2732-ST AssuredSAN™ Fibre Channel Solution SAN storage array comes fully licensed with AssuredSnap™ and AssuredCopy™ data protection software. With up to 256 snapshots capability, the 2732-ST offers necessary protection for business critical applications such as email.
AssuredSnap provides the 2732-ST with volume snapshot capability, allowing point-in-time copies that can be used to maximize business continuity. In addition, AssuredCopy, creates a full volume copy (vs. a logical volume copy with AssuredSnap) providing additional safeguard against vdisk failure and eliminating application I/O contention when accessing the same data blocks.
The 2732-ST features a 12-drive array housed in a 2 rack-unit (2U) enclosure providing four 4Gb Fibre Channel interfaces to internal SATA II disk drives. An internal SAS interface allows up to eight disk enclosures (including the RAID enclosure) delivering a total of 96 drives.
Superior Battery-Less Cache Backup and Cache Mirroring
The 2732-ST uses patented SimulCache™ technology that instantly and simultaneously mirrors cache between RAID controllers, leading to significant performance improvements over traditional implementations. The use of RAID cache batteries has been completely eliminated with the introduction of super capacitors, providing infinite cache backup during a power loss while being environmentally friendly.
