Our AssuredSAN™ 4000 storage arrays are the highest performing storage solutions in the Dot Hill portfolio. Designed with a powerful processor, these systems provide accelerated performance for sequential workloads, making them ideal solutions for high performance computing, telecommunications data capture, media streaming, video post-production, and broadcasting. The 4000 Series supports 5200 MB/s sequential reads, and 3000 MB/s sequential writes, ideal for HD, 2K, 4K, and 3D workflows.

The AssuredSAN 4000 Series includes dual controllers, fans, power, and hot swappable drives as standard. Patented EcoStor™ batteryless cache backup eliminates the need for battery maintenance, boosting availability.

The 4000 Series is available with 8Gb Fibre Channel or 6Gb SAS host connections. These systems are engineered to be able to demonstrate 99.999% availability and are compliant with NEBS Level 3 and MIL STD 810G requirements.

Key applications include HPC, video post-production, media streaming, mobile datacenters, surveillance, telecom data capture, virtualization and other applications that require both performance and reliability.

The 4000 storage arrays are powerful storage solutions which can scale to hundreds of terabytes of storage with additional expansion arrays. These storage solutions  leverage our ‘user friendly’ RAIDar 2.0 management interface and Wizards.

Warranty

The hardware warranty (Bronze) on Dot Hill arrays is 37 months. Gold and Platinum support is also available.

Channel Models

‘C’ in the model indicates a Channel product, without DMS software. They are Dot Hill branded units that come with a rail kit.

OEM Models

If a model is just a number, such as ’4720′ this indicates that this is a OEM, non branded product available to volume customers.

Drives

SAS and SSD drives can be mixed in 4000 Series arrays.

JBOD Expansion

Any 4000 Series array can be easily expanded with a compatible 4120 or 4130 JBOD which allows you to expand to a total of 384 terabytes.
