Summary:

Perform database management, administration, and worldwide support activities for Oracle ERP and other mission-critical databases, reporting to IT Director.

Requirements

  • Extensive working experience with Oracle ERP and non-ERP databases in a Sun Solaris environment
  • Solid experience in supporting the production and development of Oracle databases
  • Familiarity with Oracle versions 9i and 10g and Oracle Applications release 11.5.10 required.
  • Skilled at monitoring and handling large database back ups and recovery required
  • Perform Oracle database patching, performance tuning, and cloning of ORACLE Application is mandatory
  • Capacity planning
  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience with different database monitoring tools
  • Database high-availability solutions a must, including Oracle Standby Database, Oracle Advanced Replication, and Oracle RAC.
  • Logical and physical database design experience
  • Flexible attitude, ability to work closely with users and with cross-functional teams, able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be a team Player with excellent analytical skills, and superior written and verbal communication abilities

Education:

  • Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent, and 4+ years of IT experience
